most western people are comfortable enough in life today that they no longer need to desperately cling on to ideas of a solid gold house after death. it still works, in third and fourth world nations with little to no education and no running water. everyone else is already living well beyond new testament heaven, and people are generally aware now that there aren't massive eye-covered creatures chanting in the sky. every religion eventually becomes myth and legend, and judaism and its offshoots christianity and islam will be no exception. the religions of the future simply promise things that seem amazing and possible to the deluded and low iq of today, and are all instagram based.
