i really don't see the big deal in completely bombing an entire city into submission when conquering it, it really is the only way in modern warfare to displace the large enemy civilian population so it is easier to take over.

They do this every few years, this one is just bigger than usual. Israel should have given every single person in Gaza their own smartphone and made the use of unauthorised phones impossible, then subjected the population to hardcore propaganda, automated spying, monetary and sexual reward functionality.

This should be seen as a benefit. Having been to Israel, it's obvious what sort of second-class citizens Gazans are already treated as. Instead of checkpoints, systematised harassment and mass murder every few years, they should reap the rewards of the population.

Hamas rules by fear and righteous narratives, with some ingenuity; the idea of Hamas could be a distant memory. Hijack the information flow and the dopamine, and you will quite literally own the population within months.

Gaza is the prime example of wasted resources and primal behaviour. They restrict imports, bomb infrastructure, and keep the population down instead of using their labour and population for something productive.

If anyone is going to try out society by algorithm, it should be an occupier trying to keep a lid on insurgency. It's a shame it hasn't been tried out yet

Suppose we want to harness the full potential of our technology and our people.
