I would assume there's more microplastic in glass than in plastic bottles because plastic bottles are one big macroplastic?

Maybe don't listen to the propagandists spreading this shit?
How is it even possible unless it's on purpose? Glass bottles are either washed or recycled. If there's more contaminants in those, it's because the bottling plants are filling them with inferior products to offset the transportation costs of glass being heavier.

The thing which sheds micro plastic the most is the cap, those are the same on both bottle tyypes.

This is why we need the death penalty for liars. If this so called 'journalist' was hanged for insulting us with this obvious clickbait lie, then we wouldn't be in this mess. As a society we are far too tolerant of liars. I believe all liars should have their necks slashed open so their life blood sprays out. Like a good stiff arterial spray where they bleed out quickly.

To summarize the plastic lining of bottlecaps disintegrates and seasons your bottle of beer like it's a tuna filet.
The solution is to simply refuse to drink anything but corked wine.

Doesn't matter what you eat your food out of, the food itself has the plastics in it. I can personally guarantee if you've consumed any sort of manufactured liquid food product (milk, juice, wine, broth, soup) then you have drank small amounts of whatever lube and sealant they used to assemble the pasteurization/sterilization machine used to kill the bacteria to make the food shelf stable.

IIRC, it only referred to wine bottles. They have some shit coating on the cork that breaks off and gets into the fluid when you pull them out apparently.
A glass bottle with a metal cap very obviously does not have more microplastics in it than a plastic bottle with a plastic cap.

But obviously journalists will act like the insidious lying vermin they are.

This is a contributing reason why humanity is fucked. We're slowly sinking into what I call "the infertility soup" of microplastics, PPCPs (ie. drug compounds that end up in drinking water), synthetic fibers, etc. By 2125 virtually all mammalian life will be infertile. By 2225 there will be no humans left on Earth. Probably no birds either.

Seems like a distinction without a difference. What are you going to do, put a glass cap on your glass bottle? The point is if you thought using glass bottles was saving you from microplastics, you were wrong.

So what? Most plastics are inert in the human body. I don't hear a bunch of crazy hipp8es screeching about artificial joint replacements (with plastic components) or various "gender affirming" implants.

The whole "Oh yuk! Plastic!" is just anti-oil politics. Plastics are petrochemicals. And maybe if we denied your grandfather that artificial heart valve, we could just shut the industry down.
