it's point is to not judge a book by its cover, in Idaho murderers can become fire chiefs...

I was born and raised in Boise idaho .. I did 4 years in prison out there as well..
so don't tell me they aren't mostly felons ...

Most jurisdictions in my state wouldn't even let you be a volunteer firefighter if you had so much as a misdemeanor. This sounds like some wilderness firefighting auxiliary where most of your time fighting fires is just hand digging firebreaks in the middle of nowhere and trying not to get heat stroke and inevitably getting leukemia from all the shit you inhale.
