I lost my job and had a ton of terrible health symptoms mostly from hypothyroidism - fatigue, weight gain, irritability, lack of focus. The fatigue is so bad I have to lie down all the time. I start puking if my heartrate goes up too much. Without medicaid I might not have ever gone in for blood tests to figure out I had it because it was a slow insidious thing at first. A work requirement really sucks. Why cant they just deport the illegals so that people like me have an actual safety net? How am I supposed to be a wagie when I can barely muddle through the day sitting

I live in Maryland and my therapist and psychiatrist appointments are covered totally by Medicaid and my prescriptions are $1 each.
It also covers blood / urine tests and visits to my GP.
It's hard to find a specialist like say a gastroenterologist who accepts it, but they are out there. It has dental care too.
This kind of Medicaid should be available to everyone and the government should limit drug prices. The unregulated healthcare system is a total joke with providers randomly changing between charging $10k for one night in the hospital to lowering it down to $500 if they find out you don't have insurance. It's a total failure as a system and it only stays that way because of republicans and their hateful, envious messaging voting to keep it the same.

5 yrs ago i won 10k in the lottery and put it on gambling(stock market) getting around 100k+a house my parents gifted me when i first moved out.
