I work with a few guys that have the same attitude. Even if you're say, a fucking engineer of some variety, you still have to be able to communicate with the technicians and mechanics you're asking to build your cobby designs, without looking like an idiot. Almost all of our work is done by following written procedures. If your instructions are misspelled, of confusing grammar or shitty documentation, you're just causing delays and missteps. Before the internet you could go to a bar and say "The sky is red" and someone else would say "no the sky is blue" and then you could argue about it for 4 hours and go home and forget about it. And then maybe a week later if you were in a library you could look it up in a book and say "hah I knew the sky was blue. That retard. I'm gonna tell him next time I see him."

What has changed is now if you say something wrong, I'll just look it up and then show you my phone and say "see, I was right" And sure maybe the AI is wrong sometimes, but it's pretty accurate most of the time. You might get wrong data from a library too.

I've recently started using it on my long form quotes(sales engineer) I basically just type in "give me bullet points for a sales pitch for xxx" and then unretardify the statements. Sometimes it's way off but most of the time it's decent enough. Used as a copy/paste system it's awful and painfully obvious but if you use it as a tool for where to get started then it's pretty handy. Up until like a week ago I was 100% against AI and never used it but I see a use case now.
