Why don't we have a star trek future where we don't need money anymore? Surely technology has progressed far enough that any scarcity is artificially enforced.

I've made the quantum leap bros, I have checked out of the jewish prison bus:

>quit wagie job
>sold everything I had in my name
>all property I own is in somebody else name
>stopped renewing IDs
>stopped paying taxes
>stopped paying car insurance/plates
>free groceries and free techslop (lots of it is hidden in the back nowadays but there are still plenty on the shelves)
Fridge is always packed, I have no bills or worries.

I am free.

Food has basically no scarcity in the first world and is remarkably cheap when you compare against any other point in human history.
Housing is scarce but its scarcity is completely artificially imposed.
Medical goods are not scarce but medical labor is extremely scarce.
Those are the big ones.

this is why we cant have that nice future yet. we've engineered corn and some other crops to grow more food and feed the world. people in third world nations can get fat now.
but the human brain is still running old software that needs to evolve to fit with our current technology and culture. some folks have the greed and psychopath genes stronger than others, they fill a drive to horde as much as they can and fuck over as many people as they can to have power and wealth. if we could so something about those folks, life would be better. if people just took what they need to be happy. and leave some for others to enjoy. a whole new mindset has to be taught.

Its a fairy tale. Assuming we ever manage to make things just by the snap of our fingers, then the limiting factor will become energy.

Energy will ALWAYS be scarce, till the very heat death of the universe.

>Why don't we have a star trek future where we don't need money anymore?
Because human beings are inherently evil, star trek society is contradictory to human nature. Most people are obsessed with having more than others, with having power over others. If you invented a star trek replicator today, that could spit out anything for free, you would immediately get sued by thousands of companies for copyright infringement and the replicator would be banned.

The star trek fantasy is based on a reality where people are capable of ultra high trust and people are literally interchangable. Meaning there is no difference between men and women and no consequence for replacing people with millions from a radically different culture. This is not the reality we live in. I think the best we can get is Starship Troopers. (The book not the movie)

Why do you need money?
This question itself is deceptive.
Paper money is worthless, nobody needs money.
You can improve the question by saying:

What do you need money for?
you exchange x for money
then you give the money in exchange for y

In Star Trek, while the Federation exists in a post-scarcity society with abundant resources, they still utilize a form of currency called "Federation Credits".

In the Star Trek episode "The Trouble with Tribbles," The tribbles were being sold by Cyrano Jones, who stated he was selling them for 6 credits each, with a 10% profit, making the selling price 6.6 credits

On Deneb V, Harry Mudd faced multiple death penalty options for fraud.

I don't think we need people to be hyper competent. The 80/20 rule exists everywhere in the universe. Star Trek is impossible because people can't be this combinations of ultra high empathy while being able to extrapolate macro level problems out into the future and changing their micro level behaviors accordingly. Also the simple fact that people are not equal and never will be and the ton of cognitive bias and trauma that humans have

No. Sadly.

There are labor hours between us and post scarcity, that no one wants to do for free.
Just how it is.

Yes, we can technically run piping, electricity, build automated homes, transportation, and power this all cleanly...

If there weren't a bunch of dickheads keeping it from happening.

They aren't a ruling elite though, it's the brainless monstrosity of governments and corporations.

If the whole world were run like a township, yeah, we'd be there already.

chaos, we must conquer chaos as that is why we are here. Money sorts out chaos, without money you need to find a way to straighten out chaos or control men. in star trek, they use power, ranks. same situation in the army, you get food for free, tents, vehicles, but its rank that controls. without money comes no control, you are free to do what you want, but what we want and what we need are 2 separate things, we just want to relax and party, hang with friends, we do not want to work, and so is what happens when we introduce communism. no one woks, so we must add that some how, we use police and military, that has a head, this slowly takes control, because its the only form of control till its all police and military state, than comes chaos, a collapse. Money = control . Rank, power = control. what one do you want?

Technology progresses and your "needs" increase. Maybe it would be possible to eliminate scarcity for bare necessities. But people don't want that. They want cars and iphones ect. Capitalism is necessary to feed the greed of humans. That includes the poors. Arguably the poors are the most greedy. To the point they become envious and lobby governments to take other peoples wealth away. Literally crabs in a bucket mentality.

Star Trek takes place after what’s about to happen

In their world the human race was drastically reduced by war and famine, the people that did survive went on to learn lessons from those times and ensure these things wouldn’t happen again, which is a childlike fantasy.

The ruling class is working to orchestrate that future and ensure that they are the survivors. In a few hundred years their descendants will all rape each other to death and our kind will go extinct.

>Medical labor scarcity is also artificial.

Specialist in Medicine is artificially inflated.
The Rockefeller owned "American Medical Association" dictates that all doctors must serve them, and obey their overlord, or they will not be allowed to practice medicine.

In reality, a specialist doesn't need to become a doctor, and then study to become a specialist. Instead, he could go to school for 2 years and be a foot doctor. 2 years to be a knee doctor, 2 years to be an eye doctor 2 years to be a brain doctor
The corrupt system is racist, designed to filter out people from becoming doctors, people that (((they))) don't like.
We could have an abundance of medical professionals like China. You don't need a license to prescribe chinese medicine, anyone can do it.
