1. communist can't farm, this is consistent they always create famines
so it is a distribution issue rather than a genocidal campaign, there was not enough grain to around
2. the USSR and government was financed by grain exports initially but they stopped after a while when the harvest failed (grain is a cash crop compared to beets or potatoes)
3. the ukrainians felt targeted unfairly because they had more excess than everybody else so it was their harvest which was brutally redistributed
4. antisemitism, the holodormor is an an antisemitic canard
5. it got a stupid name, genocides need to have a catchy name to be real: nakbar, holocaust, the death star massacre by the jedi suremacist
