Among developed nations (almost an unfair comparison) America is
>Number one in per capita medical expenses
>Number one in medical bankruptcies
>Number one in malpractice deaths
and it has
>A lower life expectancy than any European country
We spend more for worse care and you've been brainwashed into believing there's simply no other way.
Sad!

People with jobs at large companies/corporations:
>health insurance provided by company, either free or extremely cheap
People who only work part time:
>free health insurance via ACA
Illegals:
>don't bother with health insurance at all, just go to the ER for every issue and "me no habla ingles" when it's time to pay the bill
I guess maybe if you're working some kind of tech startup or something, but even then I'm sure there's probably a way around it.

Very few states allow that.
The few that do require you to own 25 cars.
The one that will allow normal people to self I sure requires you to give about $100,000 to the state in a bond, which will not increase in value with inflation, and matches what you'd give to Jew insurance companies over a lifetime.
So when you die and the bond money goes to your kids, it's worth about 5% of what you put in.

Seriously, just drive without insurance and kill cops on sight

Trump and Kennedy recently announced that they are working on free healthcare for Americans. I'd say that the only ones conveniently forgetting (and whining) about this are the leeches, jews and insurance companies (although I must have repeated myself there somewhere). Insurance costs this much because of the heavy regulation put on the healthcare industry.
Aside from that, in a free country people are FREE to not spend money on healthcare and take the risk.

Like with anything, a free society allows for a lot more variance in outcomes then a non free one.

I have the same experience. Most republicans I know (friends, coworkers, neighbours) have all told me they regret voting for Trump. He promised lower egg prices, and instead got us into a trade war with our allies, women's and LGBTQ+ rights abolished, a billionaire has seized control of private citizen's data and federal funds, our military is about to invade Gaza (so much for no new wars lel), he's appointed literal traitors to his cabinet, armed ICE agents are raiding schools and children's hospitals, and EGG PRICES HAVENT GONE DOWN.
I know it's hard to admit you're wrong, but Trump is literally one of the biggest mistakes in American history.

Canada is also 20% if not more. The average family of 4 with two working parents pay $17,000+ a year (depending on province). Plus they also need to spend another $3000 at least a year on private health insurance to cover things the public doesn't. Also public health care your average wait is 1-10 years if not an emergency, and the doctors are the worst because anyone with talent leaves the "post nation state" hellhole Canada or EU has become. Socialist health care just because a grift for politicians and their friends/family.

I did the math on the cost differences if I lived in taxes and made the exact same salary.
The average leaf pays 8k in taxes for 16 hour waits, wall to wall jeets, and regularly people die waiting at the ER.
I would pay 10k less in taxes just comparing dollar for dollar and the us dollar is worth 30 percent more. I could afford the best health insurance going paid out of pocket and have actual first world healthcare, chances are my employer would have a plan anyway.
You're being lied to, socialized healthcare is a nightmare, at least the way leafland and bongland do it. Both are being crushed under the jeet onslaught and will fail in the next 5 to 10 years outright.

insurance model is indefensible. It is essentially a nedless overhead cost. The only possible good argument is that i don't want to pay for others who don't pay, but that fails because hospitals are obliged to treat patients even if they can't pay. So you end up paying premium to cover the ones who don't pay

there's no such thing as a 4% social contribution covering healthcare, in france when an employer pays 100k a year the employee is left with 56k BEFORE income tax (which is higher than in the us too), all for a health coverage which is significantely worse than a bronze plan in the us

the real numbers is that medicaid covers 1 persons health insurance for 20% less than the average health insurance.
you could be saving 20% on healthcare right now if you could buy into medicaid
also you never have to fuck with the insurance company on the phone about what drugs are covered or not, or weird copays, it all just works

what this alternatively means is that 20% of the population could be freeloading on medicaid, and it would still cost you nothing, and you would have a more pleasant experience.

this is assuming the massive collective bargaining doesnt drive medical costs down more which it is proven to do in every other country

If you think 4% is going to cover anything for any length of time, you're a retard. 4% today is 10% in a year and 40% in 20 years. They will jack that up forever. By your own country history. You have many local polices, like state polices and sheriffs. The reason the FBI (government police) was created was because local polices were too inneficient to handle some type of criminals. In Europe roads were essentially privatized. To move goods people would have to pay tolls to a series of local lords, cities, monasteries... It cripples trade. Defense should be obvious, states without a strong central army got destroyed in the 17th century

You're not very good at math are you? If I pay 10k less in taxes and STILL would make more money dollar for dollar without exchange even considered, while paying for top tier insurance, and getting top tier medical care when canadians are dying waiting 16 hours in a sea of jeets what exactly is the problem?
And then you consider everything is cheaper across the board and the dollar is worth 30% more.
And that's just income tax, Canada also has crushing sales tax, crushing property tax, etc. It's estimated the actual rate by the time everything is accounted for is more like 60%, income alone is close to 30% off the top.

The only reason top tier health insurance costs below 10k dollars is because health insurance is heavily subsidized by your taxes. If you stopped paying taxes for healthcare, and your state stopped spending in healthcare, health insurance would be much more expensive than 10k, because health insurance would have to maintain the same services you are paying right now, and charge even more to pay for bureacratic overhead and profit. The reason you are mad is because you can't understand what i'm telling you, and you seem to have a poor grasp of the English language

My taxes would be lower, I calculated for Texas making the same salary I do now, I would take home more money. And my Canadian taxes 100% subsidize the medical system now, not heavily, fully. So I can pay for Jeets to clog the system while I can one day choose between 18 months for cancer surgery (maybe if there even is healthcare left by then for me) or just go get maid and blast off.

First, income taxes do not go 100% to healthcare. And even if you assumed they do, while your taxes means healthcare is virtually free, insurance does not. You will still pay out of pocket even with top tier insurances for many mundane things. It is a bit weird that you were talking about insurance in America, i assumed you were talking about insurance in Canada. But the point still stands, insurance in America is also heavily subsidized by tax dollars.
