I have made my own religion based on all religions.

1. God as in THE God, is not of this universe. You may think of him as the Tao, or a Platonic idea. Or both. He is both real and is not real.

2. There exist sentient beings who have attained immortality. And I don't mean through technology. I mean through spiritual enlightenment.
They are Gods, they have super-powerful and we are like ants to them.

3. Karma is real and so is reincarnation. But not in the way Jeets think. You don't go from human to cockroach.
The only way to go is up, as your soul ages and becomes older.
We all started as ants but obviously the Gods are immeasurably more ancient souls than us.
This also explains the discrepancy between humans, NPCs and the like. They are just new humans who lack soul experience.

The Romans and Greeks wrote extensively about their own pagan religions, the Germanic and celtics they encountered, and made the comparisons between their various pantheons.

Much of that writing still exists today, although sadly much MUCH more was destroyed by the sand nigger religions.

The above meme IS fairly accurate, thought. At least from the Roman perspective. When they describe Germanic or celtic religions for the benefit of Roman citizens at home, they use the names of their own gods when describing the germanic/celtic ones which closely match.

Do you want to make the same mistake that the first intransigent Christians made? Already thinkers like Augustine of Hippo view the stupidity behind those positions and understood that Classical culture had to be protected and cultivated. In fact Southern Europe never stopped producing "pagan" art, or art with "pagan" motives. It was the Christian monks that preserved Classical culture from barbaric destruction (Isidore of Seville knew where the Aetas was headed and wrote the encyclopedic Etymologiae, for example.)

It has to be seen as what it is: another product of the European Spirit, inscribed in a deeper current older than history. That's also why I think that simply going back is not possible. Already during Classical Antiquity is possible to see this evolution taking place (the monotheism of the Greek philosophers is present in the entire Roman elite like Cicero, Julian the Apostate didn't try to simply go back either but tried to implement some sort of Hellenic neoplatonism etc.)

"God" is just a sound shift of the original "Ghodan" of the PIE group. Other sound shifts are "Odan", "Odin", "Wodan" or "Wotan". Ghodan is the highest divine power that occasionally takes the form of a humanoid avatar ("Allfather"), but is in its purest form vaguely defined as the "highest power of good that connects all life". Both of them are of akkadian origin and refer to their Bhaal's but lost practically all records of their own culture and simply reconstructed an artificial facsimile by copying christian records and interspacing them with akkadian fragments that they filled with whatever they could come up with.
