Entrepreneurs/small business owners/startup employees are FUCKED under the new Medicaid rules. The '80 hours per week' of work is NOT based on actual hours worked - it is imputed from income.
So if you make less than the minimum wage multiplied by 80 hours per month, you will get kicked off of Medicaid. If you spend 400 frantic hours in a month setting up a new business, but you aren't turning a profit yet, NONE OF THAT counts. You'd have to add in 80 more hours doing something else to save your Medicaid enrollment.
People are just now realizing this fact on self-employment forums and other places, and they aren't pleased.
