Why are you so opposed to feeding someone even if they don't work? Or providing them with medical care?

You know if they show up in the ER they will never be denied care right? They just don't pay for it. Those costs will be past on to the insured patients who pay. In the end we all end up paying for those without healthcare. It's better to get them in the system and do preventive care before they show up and need a long stay.

Your logic only works if every ailment they sustain is ER-worthy. No one is going to the ER for a medium flu and they’re certainly not waiting four hours (that they’ll inevitably be triaged at) to be seen. No health insurance means no urgent care visits which is a huge QoL hit. Work requirements trade that QoL boost for a boon to the economy. Win win.

3% of Americans get VA

Of course both Medicaid also covers illegals and the uninsured(on a state by state basis) so these figures are actually much higher. Functionally 50% of the people residing in the US get free healthcare and the other 50% are wagie paypigs.

foodstamps is stupid and causes the price of food to go up. there should only be vegetable stamps and the people (*american citizens) working on the farms picking the vegetables should earn whatever they demand. i would be okay with the prices of vegetables going up because of vegetable stamps. i would be okay paying a bit more in taxes so poor people could have free veggies.

i'm not okay with people using foodstamps to buy shitty food that makes them sick. i'm not okay with people who work part time and game the system to maximize benefits when they could be working more. i'm also not okay with the government telling people which jobs they must take or at what wage level. i'm a libertarian that believes in free vegetables. even people who refuse to work should still be eligible for free vegetables.
