The purpose of Operation Wetback was to force both illegals and farmhand employers to use the migrant worker program at the time (“Bracero”). That program ended in 1964 without a replacement and that caused the illegal alien invasion. Seriously, look at the border apprehension statistics. From 1964 onwards it increased.
