It's a regional thing. My girlfriend was raised Catholic in her part of Michigan, I grew up half in the Southern Baptist Church and half in the Mormon Church.
From just attending services and meeting different Christians, regardless of the beliefs, Mormons kick all the other denominations asses. They're like an actual community, showing up to each others houses to see what's going on and when church gets out everyone goes to the deacons house to party and whatnot, everyone else just sees them once on Sunday and that's it. Half of them hate each other.

Again, regardless of the beliefs, they know how to run a church. They're like a big family, when you're a Mormon your life becomes about being Mormon. All your friends are in the church, you get invited to things with the church (and they do a lot), you're eventually going to get set up with one of the girls, etc. Other churches just don't have the community they do.
