Stop Killing Games (SKG) is an EU initiative to bring the issue of publishers cancelling their games after you bought them, thus robbing you of a product you purchased, to the European parliament so they can make a law against that practice.
The details are much clearer but this is the basic gestalt: stop publishers from preventing you from playing games you bought just because they said it's past its sell-by date.
Force them by law to release a playable build for the purchasers that doesn't require an online connection to play.

Here's where the two meet.
Piratesoi discovered SKG and without reading any of the initiative seriously or watching any of the videos with any degree of respect, proceeding to slam the project.
SKG was looking like it wasn't gonna make its 1 million signature target, which is required for the initiative to proceed.
It's like watching a pathetically weak bully start beating down on an injured dog, laughing at a ship as it sinks.
Everybody who supported the project were quick to point out how wrong he was, and being a Jason thinking he's Thor, he doubled down on being wrong, calling everyone else an idiot who doesn't know shit about game development.
That's when actual game devs with experience got involved and told him to shut the fuck up, that he's wrong, that this is easy to do, and drama channels picked it up from there.
