Jeets are basically a biological, cultural example of the idea of "appearing competent". they have just enough grey matter to recognize the social impacts of success and intelligence, but are hopeless when it comes to understanding why such things succeed or how they came about at all. This is part of why they don't see scamming as wrong - they see scammers get rich, and then they see high IQ inventors/doctors get rich. The issue lies in the fact that they cannot discern the moral, ethical, disciplinary and IQ differences between being a brain surgeon and being a scammer.
