I was having a discussion with my friend and brought up depopulation. He stated that he did not buy into the georgia guidestones concept of depopulation, because of the classical argument that "rich people need workers" to substain their hiearchial structure (even in the face of looming AI and the ever present threat of automation).

I retorted that the billions of people on this planet are causing a mass extinction of animals. That we are losing certain species forever, and that the ultra wealthy must care about the slow reduction in the beauty and the environment of the planet, and it is their priority to solve this problem by getting rid of the human waste.

He stated that is not the real goal, that most of the elite are jewish/zionist, dominated by Dispensationalist ideals; which are basically "lets fulfill prophecy (greater isreal) bring about the biblical end times" rather than trying to improve the planet and quality of life (for themselves) - so their priority is not getting rid of people, but doing weird biblical shit instead.

I concede that it is not easy to depopulate the planet. People are smart and hard to kill. COVID is some proof that all it takes is a little resistance and any grand scheme to secretly even sterilize (not kill) people, kind of fall apart. Your greatest tool, is mass starvation, but even the Holodomor killed about 60 million tops. Plus the risk is too high: once you try to kill people, you had better succeed, or you will be hung as a murderer.

So do you agree with my friend, or depopulation still actually the final goal? (Given AI and robots etc.)
