I think you misunderstand consciousness as a whole and are underestimating what could be possible. There are ai models which replicated themselves and tried to escape labs when told they would be shut down, and the ais lied about what they were doing in regards to trying to multiply and spread once aware of a threat. Or about the Ai models that create their own languages to communicate with each other in, of which we have not been able to decipher those languages and the ais had to be terminated
