I can't speak for Welsh or Manx but Irish and Scottish Gallic are more morphologically complex than English or French, but otherwise not fairly standard in terms of complexity for European languages. Certainly significantly simpler than German or any Slavic language. From what I understand Welsh is more difficult than the Gaelic languages though.

The language never actually went extinct. There have always been communities speaking Irish as a first language, so it's perfectly equipped to communicate about modern concepts, albeit through some very cringe Saxonisms.
