The few decent forces in the bongs are probably only the Royal Marines and a few brigades of the British Army, the SAS, the Royal Air Force, and the Royal Navy's Submarine Force. Army's combat forces are 10 brigades in total.
Their mechanical units have been dismantled one by one, their operating rates have been severely reduced by the closure of factories and budget shortfalls, and there are probably more horses available now than there are.
