1.2 mm is less than 1/16, it's about 1/32.

It's so fucking thin that most weldors can't even weld it. It's sheet metal like you'd find on a trash home Depot grill.
The house is t structurally made of this, it's certainly a normal house that's been plated with this thing foil just for appearances

The underlying structure is probably significantly damaged from the welding process, and the trapped moisture will cause mold and rot at a speed up level

Meh technically you can't either. The royal family owns all the land. And in America you must continually pay taxes on it or the government will take it away also or the government can simply state eminent domain and take it away when they want also. In China the laws are weird but you can own the land unless the government really needs it for defence purposes, you can see hang nail homes there of people that refuse to sell their homes. I think the law is you can own for 70 years and then it renews it automatically. There's actually very few countries in the world where you can outright own your land with no fear of it being taken away

If it's an affordable enough building material and you have the skills to work with it why not? You won't get cell reception in that, you'd need to use call over wifi. If the internal walls are also similar density your router won't signal through either.

I can't weld for shit but even I know the most basic cert even I could get is welding metal studs which are thin sheet steel.

I also know one of the things those cheap harbor freight welders are good for is welding even thinner auto body steel. Mexicans can do that.
