>>509547843 (OP)>Late stage CapitalismWhat, compared to the 17th-19th century where children spent their short lives dying in coal mines and sweeping chimneys for a living? Sure, Capitalism might have its flaws, but we've objectively gotten much more humane in the first world when it comes to how it operates. Granted, we firsties still rely on child slave labor in the third world for cheaper goods / most tech products, but at least we've mostly done away with it here. "Late stage Capitalism" is a meme in light of that fact. As much as doomers would like to believe otherwise, the world has actually gotten somewhat kinder (for at least a minority within it).
