Very interesting article written by Pentagon guy who was responsible for military orders and innovation.

https://www.foreignaffairs.com/united-states/empty-arsenal-democracy-michael-brown

In short:

- A Pacific conflict needs 5,000 long-range missiles weekly, but U.S. stockpiles, only in the tens of thousands, would deplete in weeks. Entire US stockpiles of long range missiles contains around 30k missiles, meanwhile Russia alone fired 12k similar missiles only in years 2023-2025. Ukraine aid consumed a year’s 155mm shell production (14,000/month) in weeks, while Russia produces 3M shells yearly.

- U.S. Navy ships (avg. age >20 years) and aircraft are older than China’s. China’s navy (370+ ships) surpasses the U.S.’s 290, with newer vessels. Production capacity of Chinese shipyards are x400 bigger than American ones.

- The U.S. imports one-third of energetics materials, including from China, relying on outdated WWII-era factories. China and Russia use modernized facilities, leveraging U.S. research.

- China leads in affordable drones, while the U.S. struggles to scale commercial tech (e.g., AI, autonomy) for military use

These gaps -low stockpiles, aging assets, foreign reliance, and tech lags - expose U.S. unpreparedness for great-power conflict even against Russia, not to mention China.

A hint useful especially for frontline "staunch allies" of the US of A such as Bolanda xD

Yeah, the libertarians always ahead of everybody else were posting here saying as much, especially a week before the Ukraine invasion, which one of them called to the hour.

Then people saying they were mid-level Pentagon/military types started saying the same thing here for a while a year later. There was then a little press coverage.

Now FA takes notice and it's suddenly news.

Zombie commie policies de-industrialized small fabrication, shipbuilding, small arms manufacture and tinkerer culture in the US.

All true. But NATO defense spending in the EU just rose to 3.5% of GDP with an additional 1.5% GDP additional spending on defense infrastructure. Theres procurement rumors of Germany ordering 1000 new Leopard 2 MBTs and 2500 additional AFVs. There are multiple 5th generation fighter projects in development both in EU, and in Korea/Japan. The US is developing both PCA and F/A-XX for the AF and Navy respectively, while B-21 and F-47 enter serial production, and as Starlink becomes an unkillable Skynet.

Confrontation with China is far from certain. Meanwhile, Western Defense posture is certainly gearing up to win a mid-2030s conflict either way. It may be more a matter of making the right investments than more investments, especially. The idea that a Navy or even ballistic missiles will be relevant in WW3/Taiwan crisis is very likely flawed. Russias massive Soviet-era land army achieved almost nothing substantial in Ukraine even after 3 years--similarly Iranian defense efforts amounted to little/no deterrence against Israel. Most likely missiles and boats and artillery will not win the coming war--even a billion drones cant project power more 10 or 20km and reach any strategic assets from China to the US or vice versa.

pointless, we have an enormous amount ready, not the end of the world to produce enough either
>U.S. Navy ships (avg. age >20 years) and aircraft are older than China’s. China’s navy (370+ ships) surpasses the U.S.’s 290, with newer vessels. Production capacity of Chinese shipyards
this is the actual problem
trump also blabbered about muh shipbuilding like it's 1940
one of the cabinet guys visits the merchant marine academy and says it's "muh dilapidated"
don't they understand if they want new naval vessels they need to not treat STEM men like shit
if you go into STEM you're expected to be a dysgenic troll who will sit down and listen to all their DEI holocaust bullshit while doing highly advanced engineering that is lobotomized for the dyke profs
meanwhile girls get instant internships
if you go and be a welder you're expected to put elons bullshit rockets together 80hrs a week on a crunch
none of this makes for shipbuilding but trump thinks muh hardworking when there isn't a long 1940s war to ramp up, or reason to go live like utter shit in some ratcheted east coast house while you listen to molded boomers tell you about how to run a drydock that has been out of commission for 40 years
simple as everything the US gov wants, want real engineering? stop treating men like shit

The F-35s strength lies in its sensor fusion, integrating data from radar, infrared, electronic warfare systems, and external sources (satellites, AWACS) to create a real-time battlespace picture. This requires immense computational power to process terabytes of data rapidly. Modern conflicts demand real-time analysis to counter advanced threats such as hypersonic missiles, saturation attacks, stealth technology fe. TR-3 is far not enough for this. AI could enable the F-35 to autonomously manage drone swarms or counter cyberattacks, but this demands far greater processing power than current systems

Usa still has something of a brand name among retard colonial slaves like Mexico, Japan, and Korea, but USA is deporting them and Japan and Korea’s population is dropping like a fat mayoroach jumping off the high board into the swimming pool. Mayo filth should admit it’s over, but their kike masters won’t let them so it’ll be like that fat crippled fuck limping around until he dies of a heart attack. Neoliberal crapitalism never allow reindustrialization in the west, because industry in democratic societies (even pseudo-democracies) is a breeding ground for trades unions, which they hate. They love manufacturing to be done under autocratic governments where unions cannot form.
The same reason why we are reliant on foreign oil from backwards theocracies, and we leave the centuries worth of domestic coal reserves untouched.

russia killed all ukrainian men and now the front line is finally fully collapsing hence trump pulling out. usa has no industrial base. only actual israeli air strikes were in tehran and bandar abbas both of which are close to the coast. there is no evidence of israeli planes entering western iran, just like in oct 2024 exchange they got locked on to by s400s and pulled back. iran still has most of its air defense and is in no rush to get more as its constitution prohibits taking such aid like ew and integrated air defense from russia/china if it diminishes its own sovereignty. iran can build all of it itself, from chink/rus designs if need be. iran has depth of defense, israel/usa manufacturing base has no depth, there are no serious moves to increase usa/eu defense manufacturing, its all just stealing westerners money. there is no evidence of b2s dropping 30k lb. bombs on fordow etc. as analysis years before said it was impenetrable to them so why would trump expose them as not being able to do the job, and why would he use 1/3-1/2 of them all too? china and russia and iran already won, i kneel, u should too, they already won genetically ie. west genz z/alpha are already majority nonwhite

Most euro nations are broke, not enough money. Many states here spend more on migrant accommodation/integration (free shit) than other departments such as health, military, infrastructure. The 5% of gdp is smoke & mirrors trying to soothe trump ego so no more tariffs or him directly criticising eu leaders. Most eu leadership is scared to show how blatant the power dynamic are to European citizens & who really calls the shots. Many here think they do not live under occupation of foreign military who are beholden to Israel. Imagine modern German (massive ziocucks) military bases all over Europe rather than Yankee one

No win. Crippling defeat. Face it, the US don't have the resources to maintain a naval supremacy against China. If they directly challenge China, they lose everything. Trump understood that, his initial plans to withdraw from Europe and focus on imperial expanion on the American continent instead were the reaction to it.

Send anyone that says we need to build up for a future conflict into the front lines right now imo.
Maybe then they'll grow a braincell and realize diplomacy and cooperation is the only solution.
