>community and support networksonly the illegal ones. extended family and clans, mostly, who'll help you with everything from repairing houses that should be torn down for not following building laws to doding taxes.
In theory, there's support groups (formed as "Vereine" under German law), where if you always pay membership dues, they'll support you when things go to shit, but obviously, the only people entering those are people who expect their lives to go to shit in the first place, and a few dogooders with savioursyndrome.
>better designed towns, villages, citiesYeah, absolutely. The old ones (~before 1950) and strangely enough, some new ones designed by local governments with leftist majority and conservative minority. Doesn't change how shops that don't just sell mass-produced slop are quickly pushed into online-only business, but at least you can get your goyslop comfortably, without having to get out the map and compass.
>walkabilitynot much of that in the bigger cities. Modern design is to have small areas that are walkable, and massive roads with barely any crossings everywhere else. In Mannheim, for example, if you want to cross the wide road in front of the station, it's unironically quicker to get on the tram on one side and out on the other than to walk until you find the nearest pedestrian crossing.
