Germany is said to spend 25bil euros on tanks/IFVs this year as a response to rising security threat from Russia. Considering that AfD is on the rise isn't it kinda a bad thing that they are militarizing? Imagine if AfD and other chuds take over Germany in the next elections and they have 1000 tanks in active service on their disposal.

What you have shown is still a prototype, and a controversial at that because it uses 130mm barrel instead of current standard 120mm NATO one, and there is no reason to go 130mm as modern 120mm shells can penetrate anything ruskies have like butter as Ukraine has shown

So here's some things I know that make this kind of retarded, without doing any additional reading on the subject:
1. Germany does not HAVE $25B. They run a massive deficit.
2. Germany does not have the steel production needed to actually build ANY tanks at scale, much less roll 1000 off the factory any time in the next decade.
3. Germany and Europe talked big about a big money investment into a metal plant so they could start arming Europe, but that was just talk and there's no money for it, and the plant isn't operational, and won't be til at least 2030 or later. And even then, they don't have the resources for the steel, they'd have to buy it from China.
So this is all bluster. They can appropriate the money, but Germany literally cannot have a tank rolling off their line til at least 2031. And 1000 of them would take, 20 years because the absolute best projections say they can MAYBE make 50 a year. Maybe if they somehow doubled their production capacity of metal, factory parts, and fabrication, they could do 60-70, but even that would be more than what they're able to spend.
