>what about the 500 other countries that Trump was thrown tariffs at? What about Denmark?Almost all of our exports are to the United States. Europe has a more diversified portfolio comparatively. We have failed to expand our domestic manufacturing, access to energy and trade connections. Instead we exist in a giant real-estate ponzi scheme where we bring in new immigrants to leverage their debt. We produce very little outside of natural resources. Of these resources we allow foreign countries to buy up ownership and primarily trade to the U.S.
When the Ukraine war broke out Germany, the UK and other parts of Europe had a severe need for LNG (as the Russian pipelines were shut down). Had we capitalized on that we would of received a large amount of investment and opened up new markets.
But Canada consistently backstabs Alberta and prevents it from exporting LNG/Natural Gas. Ontop of this, they start talking about local refinement and tariffing the U.S on gas. While failing to recognize that the only pipeline that connects Alberta to the East has to run through the U.S - because the country has prevented local development.
Because the vast majority of our trade is with the United States. They are our primary export market and as such any tariffs are devasting to our export market.
The United State is also completely right to chastise us over the lack of defense / military spending and our complete failure to stop Fentanyl from entering our country (as well as money laundering). When this was brought up our leaders should of dealt with it immediately. But they do not care how many of our people die due to drug abuse and nor will they accept accountability.
