it isn't dishonest, it just gets you to where you can hopefully get your paper seen by a human like you used to
however you and i know, we all know, that they're not reviewing these and just ai parsing and trusting the system without reading or verifying.
but humans haven't been doing actual peer verification for years, ive found multiple papers i've tried to use as a source that i could not reproduce.
academia has been dead for years
