Wrong actually.
The government does what rich people pay them to do.
With the richest of the rich people now taking control directly, we have a somewhat new situation here.
Musks party will run on a platform of further de-regulation of industries, especially tech bro industries. This will get him even more party funds from other rich people such as Bezos.
They would be able to buy every TV spot ever for the next 20 years if they so chose. And of course every single online algorithm, be it X or Meta or some Google service, will push for his party and make the opposition invisible.
This could work. Easily. Is it a good thing? Probably not, but I'd take it over the current dinosaurs swamping up DC.
