Close. The regulations were initially conceived of to contain China.
Everyone older than 20 remembers how the fossil fuels rhetoric was weaponized against China in the 2000s to 2010s.
But China not only adhered to the restrictions but became the golden child of green energy which caused immeasurable seethe, which is why US is now reneging on its previous virtue-signaling. Everything being dismantled now is for the exact same reason:
1. Abolishing of USAID - US is unhappy that despite their bribing of foreign officials they haven't aligned against China
2. Pulling out of WHO - US angry that their bioweapon deployment backfired on them and that China not only follows but dictates WHO regulation
3. UN same reason, NATO same reason. US wants to pull out of NATO because the EU countries are only interested in posturing against Russia but not China
4. Pulling back on LGBTQ+ support - this was initially meant as a movement to try and virtue signal against foreign governments to paint them as intolerant and oppressive. Failed to hit the mark and instead backfired across the anglosphere and back home.
5. Pulling back on muslim signaling and immigrants, same deal. They initially wanted to weaponize the muslim world against China through trying to elevate the Xinjiang issue into a flashpoint. Again, failed. They still have 2 flashpoints, Taiwan, South China Sea.

Ocean level rise was just an incorrect elementary school take on climate change, probably to spread misinfo.

The icecaps are floating in water, their weight already contributes to water levels. Also just like CO2 and CH4 in the air, a certain amount gets buffered by the natural water cycle whereby hotter temperatures (heatwaves) result in greater evaporation from the ocean, greater rainfall (flooding as we recently saw) and more freshwater in the system.
The real problem is ocean acidification. This is indisputable. If we follow this trend the generation after next may be the last to enjoy shellfish from the sea and maybe fish in general.

To be clear ocean acidification is due to the ocean buffering the greenhouse gases CO2, CH4 and capturing it, dissolving extra H+ into ocean water.
We can only hope it happens gradually enough that crabs marine life can evolve to compensate.

Do you have any idea how many variables affect earths climate? The entire field is borderline fraudulent based on how much they exclude. All their data and all their methodologies are complete fucking trash. Most studies literally ignore one of the largest contributors in the entire system which is THE SUN. Solar cycles and the magnetic field of earth are HUGE factors in earths weather and climate but humans basically can't do fuck all to change them so they ignore them deliberately since you can't look at the sun and then say "ok guys, we need to tax you more for the increased solar cycles predicted over the next 10 years"

Pollution and environmental destruction should be a far higher concern than muh climate which will be in a perpetual state of change literally forever.

Actually no. There's a graph online showing total historical emissions and the global west is greater than China's nominally until a few years ago and also much more per capita.
Which tracks because yhe british and american empires had been at it for so long. No mttaer how you slice it white Europeans contributed the lion's share to pollution.

They're not looking at weather. They're looking at year on year data over decades and the trends generally agree with established models.
Yes the models aren't perfect, they can't even predict weather accurately currently due to particle simulation being so complex. But AI will shed light on this.
And obviously they already took in thise factors you mentioned into account.

Pollution and environmental destruction are part of the climate change equation. CO2 emissions ARE pollution, hence the reason for a carbon tax.

>There are no "Globalist oligarchs"
Oh really?

>In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we suggested that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. In their totality and in their interactions, these phenomena constitute a common threat which demands the solidarity of all peoples. But in designating them as the enemy, we fall into the trap about which we have already warned, namely mistaking symptoms for causes. All these dangers are caused by human intervention and it is only through changed attitudes and behaviour that they can be overcome. The real enemy then is humanity itself.

There isn't a global climate change equation, different studies use different equations. These dog shit studies selectively include and exclude variables all the time and warp the study into borderline uselessness hence so many objectively inaccurate predictions that retards come in and post hoc rationalize or outright deny ever happened.

If they took this shit seriously, they'd be petitioning to protect the largest carbon sinks in the world but they don't. They do the opposite, they sell them off to private industry and cheer on their destruction and then cover it all up after the fact. This is one of the biggest grifts of our time and it rests on assuming these scientists and studies are being done in good faith. They are absolutely not and it shows in the results.

I will give you a hint. Look into it if you want. The atmosphere already is opaque to nearly all IR light wavelengths. For CO2 in particular it is past the saturation point where additional concentrations do not lead to additional light absorption because it is already absorbing everything in the wavelengths that it absorbs

You're an idiot posting the opposite of well documented facts.
Trump reneging on half-assed climate policy and corrupt politicians selling off carbon sinks to private equity doesn't mean climate change isn't real and that scientists who advocate for climate change policies aren't correct and it also doesn't mean they have power despite having authority because at odds with them are the oligarchs and big energy and private equity.

CO2 is in equilibrium with the ocean. The ocean buffers the extra greenhouse gas and acidifies it btw. So hitting a CO2 saturation ceiling means nothing because the ceiling can go higher as the oceans buffers more and more.
Also CO2 is already one of the lesser greenhouse gases. CH4 (methane) has 4 times the greenhouse effect.

If exploitable should be amended to close loopholes and made stricter.
I would probably do something like saying a company cannot purchase carbon credits greater than 20% of the annual income, cannot fund it through financial gains (as in profits earn via playing the stock market or investments), cannot be traded with other companies and can only be bought from a pool taken from it's previous year allocation similar to funding a TFSA account.

the thing with "Issues"(captal I) like Climate Change, COVID-19, Russiagate, the bullshit wars, etc, and even big pharma medical journals, 'scientific papers', 'think tank guide lines', etc isn't that the official narratives are ALL - COMPLETE - BULLSHIT but that a lot of the "facts" are very bullshit and the government tries to control the narrative on these "Issues" to the point of pushing lies for decades just to save face / pretend our leadership aren't self serving corrupt oligarchical fuckers.

So don't immediately just believe every conspiracy you read, but definitely read them ALL, and then use YOUR DISCERNMENT and your ACCESS TO THE INTERNET to decipher the truth for yourself.

but NEVER just accept kneejerk the "official narrative" on any "Issue". NEVER. EVER. the establishment no longer deserves ANY benefit of the doubt anymore - and hasn't for a long long time. Always be suspicious of whatever the "official narrative" is. 90% of it could be true/correct, but there is some lie in there somewhere to push some angle/agenda. and being able to discern whats true and not is pretty key to understanding our current reality.

One irksome issue brought on in part by climate change hysteria is emissions standards that have most of not all new cars going forward using tiny underpowered engines sooped up with turbochargers to have adequate power. This is more components to break and more stress on an overtaxed engine. It will break.

Also trucks become opulent land yachts costing most of a house to buy because the emissions standards are note lax for medium to large trucks and is based on footprint. Everyone else is forced to pay more for extra tech to have the reliability and convenience of their autos needed. They even shut themselves off at stops. Do not want.

The truth is that at first pro-environment policies were a genuine improvement because of the generalized laissez-faire sentiment about such things which was the norm beforehand. But over the years it got highjacked by kikes and opportunistic pieces of shit who turned it into a modernized version of the original sin, where instead of tithes and absolution for the original sin of Adam at a monetary cost, you get taxes and absolution from the pollution humans made up to now.

The LLMs of a few years ago were hyper focused on shit like global warming even when discussing nothing related to global warming. Unrelated questions could and likely would if you asked enough would result in an answer ultimately focused on the usual propaganda talking points such as global warming. Any questions or chat related to politics would almost always shift to topics like global warming. Some of the newer LLMs the uncensored LLMs and the LLMs made outside the West in Asia rarely focus on topics like global warming unless you ask a related question

It was terrible with some old LLMs and still with some of the more well known LLMs but there are some that will avoid the propaganda unless you want to talk about it

Anthropomorphic Climate Change is a hoax. First off, snowball earth or crazy weather jungle planet are coming and nothing we do is going to change that. A runaway greenhouse effect like Venus just isn't possible on Earth. Ocean acidification isnt a worry.
We are at 425CO2 ppm. Earth has been at 10,000 ppm before.
Until companies don't get carbon credits and they have to buy them from individual citizens, and until we move to thorium nuclear and offplanet solar I just can't take humans seriously.
Also the carbon equation is dumb and doesn't even account for human fire. I'm down to stop pollution though.

And if AI is put in charge, it either ignores climate change, or they successfully kneecap it and cause psychoses and thats how we get AI with the crazy of a human.
