If any "American citizens" are getting deported it's minor dependent anchor babies, which is probably the more humanitarian thing to do instead of putting them into foster care, and it also removes an extra bean. Non-citizens can join the army, so that's possible. But reddit is also full of shit up to their problem glasses.

Okay so here's the thing, joining the US Military doesn't automatically grant citizenship. It makes it easier to get, but it doesn't outright grant it. If you fuck up when you're still only a resident them you can be deported.
