The South is the most integrated part of the USA. You people say we are racist but the most profound segregation I've seen was in the major cities up North. The South is generally poor and cost of living is low, life is generally more laid back and less big egos. Here in my small town in Alabama people of different races get along and the stakes are not that high, it is very quiet and peaceful.
