When I was a kid in the 1980s I flew with my parents from Sydney to Melbourne with TAA on an Airbus A300 similar to picrel. My dad spoke to the purser and I was allowed into the cockpit where I was invited to sit in the dickie seat opposite the flight engineer and I observed the approach and landing into Tullamarine Airport, Melbourne. For me that experience was fucking awesome and as a young adult, travelling independently in the 1990s I had the opportunity to visit the flight deck during flight a few times on different airlines. Then after 2001 that all changed. The old environment of trust and respect had completely gone. Thanks to muslims my kids can't experience what I experienced.
