When historians look back on the collapse of the American empire, the *only* part that will baffle them for centuries to come will be that the poor voted over and over and over and over again to cut their own benefits in order to give more and more benefits to the rich and elite whom they so despised in every other aspect of life.

When historians look back on the collapse of the American republic, the *only* part that will baffle them for centuries to come will be that the liberals voted over and over to give tax payer supported benefits to illegal aliens in order to feel good about themselves. Then they went on to give the illegal aliens greater and greater taxpayer-supported housing, medical care, education food, clothing, cellphones etc To pay for this largesse the liberals burdened the American taxpayers with the heavy costs, basically making it impossible for American workers to financially support having their own families because they were too busy financially supporting the families of the illegal aliens.

I have the same experience. Most republicans I know (friends, coworkers, neighbours) have all told me they regret voting for Trump. He promised lower egg prices, and instead got us into a trade war with our allies, women's and LGBTQ+ rights abolished, a billionaire has seized control of private citizen's data and federal funds, our military is about to invade Gaza (so much for no new wars lel), he's appointed literal traitors to his cabinet, armed ICE agents are raiding schools and children's hospitals, and EGG PRICES HAVENT GONE DOWN.
I know it's hard to admit you're wrong, but Trump is literally one of the biggest mistakes in American history.
