Where are all the young people?
No matter where you go, you only ever see old people out and around. I can only imagine that the 20-somethings are sitting at home all day, due to a combination of being priced out of everything and there being nothing out there for them anyway.

Even if by some miracle you do see someone your own age, its socially unacceptable to approach them in any way. Sure, nobody wants to be stopped and talked to by a stranger when they're at the store or on the bus or something, but there are no longer any places where this IS acceptable.

How do you deal with everything being so socially dead? This is no way to live. Our youth is slipping away from us, and we are never going to get the chance to make use of it.

People over 30 need not respond.

I saw plenty of young brown and black people. Even saw a huge Muslim family playing music obnoxiously

That's funny, because I usually don't. The boomers are getting much browner though. Indians are suddenly everywhere in my town when as recently as last summer I had still never seen any around here.

I live in a liberal sanctuary city so I am expected to see immigrants. The only young white people I see are at bars doing degenerate stuff while not having families.

It’s more that girls primarily find chad online now. It’s that simple. When girls stop going out, guys fo too, and thats how we get this. Also, it’s become socially taboo to interact with strangers now unless ot’s to assault them so thete’s litetally no point.

I don't think that's the whole issue. Social media replacing IRL interaction is a chicken-or-the-egg scenario. Both accelerate each other as a feedback loop.

Do you actually believe that? What the fuck is this nonsense? That's literally how you're supposed to make friends.

Men need money to participate in society, since you are all broke, you can't expect them to go outside. Going outside cost money, fuel ain't free after all. Average age is also old, so that helps.

I am living out of my car right now so I am having to spend a lot of time in public areas and I got to say there just isnt white people left anymore. You have to realize that all the white kids of today were supposed to be the kids of the 1980s generation and those guys just dont have kids.
Nearly all the young people are latinos or black but most people are just middle aged out here.

Only the Albany area and South are harboring illegals from the city. The Hudson Valley is an absolute disaster at this point. Cities like Newburgh, Poughkeepsie, Hyde Park, Rhinebeck, Redhook, Highland, Kingston had bus after bus just dumping people off for a year with ZERO infrastructure and housing for them.

Maybe pre-2010, but these days people recoil from it. And no, its not just me. I never see anybody else strike up a conversation out of nowhere like that. It genuinely is taboo.

Northern NJ, so pretty close to upstate NY. I guess that's why it took them until this year to show up. Thanks for being a buffer, NY frens.

Sorry to hear that, that sounds pretty grim. Do you guys even attempt to acknowledge each other when you're out on the street? Maybe a smile and a nod? Anything?

>Maybe a smile and a nod?
That depends where you are. If you're hiking on a popular trail, you can get that maybe 50% of the time. But in the park or around town? You'll get a scowl, or at best be ignored.

ive been living out of a hotel for a month because my house has been gigarenovated and ive been going to bars, clubs, restaurants, cafes because i have nothing better to do - some thoughts

1. middle aged people are hard carrying the economy right now

2. socializing, at least IRL, is pay for play, i dont have expensive tastes but im burning money like a furnace going out to eat several times a day. even getting premade meals from publix isnt exactly cheap

it doesnt surprise me that young people arent out and about because this shit is expensive, if i were young ide just get drugs, play video games and invite girls over to do drugs and play video games and fuck and watch movies on my labtop or something

Even going to a bar is at least -40 bucks even if you are pennypinching.
When I used to barback all the customers were boomers or middle aged people.
Us zoomers have no money to waste like that.

A train from NYC to Philadelphia is $28 each way. If you go by bus, its $58.
It's unbelievable how expensive it is to do anything.

People have to worry about securing sustenance before they can start thinking like that. When so many are denied the privilege of working for a living, they can't think about doing things for other reasons.
