what the hell happened??? I just got sunburnt on my shoulders and neck after getting back from a water park. Even though last year during peak summer I went to a water park as well and nothing happened. Of course I didn't apply any sunscreen because I never get sunburnt and I'm not pale I'm Emirati. I don't know why I got sunburnt this time. I was wearing nothing but swimming shorts. So it's weird that my entire skin was exposed but only my shoulders were burned. It hurts but on the bright side I'm guessing it's mild so I'll just apply some creams I have in my house and it will probably go away on it's own in just a couple of days.

Keep an eye on your UV ratings, anything above 5, maybe a bit higher for a melanin infused lad such as yourself, but you need to cover up. And pro tip, you're a lot like us, it's always above 5.

holy shit it says the daily max is at 11 am and the UV rating is 13 which is extreme. I was at the waterpark during the peak extreme around 11 am and 12 pm. But I only got to play the first ride (aka not stand in line) after 12 pm. This actually explains a lot.

No worries. Chuck an app on your phone or something so you can just quickly glance it in the morning, the UV rating is more important to know than the temperature. It's the first thing we have to teach leafs and other blokes from northern europe when they move here. It can be cold and overcast and you can still get extra crispy.
