I knew college was doomed cause unlike every other slack-jawed dipshit in high school I used my time to learn valuable things, things like how any time a field or institution becomes majority female its social capital tanks as men abandon it. As a senior in high school, every college I was looking at attending was at least 50% female. I saw the writing on the wall. College wasn't going to be prestigious very much longer, probably not even 10 years until female majority reached 6:4 (and Lo! I am a prophet!) and by that point its social capital would be nose diving.

We're already seeing this happen. Bro podcasters and whatnot talking about "going into trades" or how college degrees aren't worth it. A lot of STEM fields are still mostly men, even with colleges doing everything possible (lower entrance requirements, female-only scholarships, female-focused recruitment campaigns etc) to change it. College in general tanked when it became cemented in pop culture as "the place you go to get laid". Moves like American Pie etc are what killed the value of college in the west.
