China isn’t worried about some pussy shit Taiwanese voodoo. Taiwan has had their own ASMs long before that. Currently China is waiting for the US to be distracted before they invade. It's worth noting that not too soon after the Israel-Iran war flopped China came out publicly to say that they won't let Russia lose the Ukraine war, ie they will give Russia weapons in the hopes that it would draw the US in.

There is nothing about Taiwan that necessitates any kind of immediate intervention. China could wait 2 centuries for the political situation to change if they wanted. Taiwan offers them absolutely nothing they can't already do for themselves.

Nobody has mentioned that the Harpoon is a missile from the 80's. Its a old, outdated, lacking in speed, sensors, and stealth.
Modern western approach is stealth, while Russia and the East seem to prefer speed.
The Harpoon is neither.
This is a nothing burger. The block II was upgraded in like 2010 but it has a range of 124km.... which is dogshit for a ASM.
Anyways, the moment they turn on their radars, they'll eat a hypersonic. Because Taiwan has no AD, or Airforce that could match what China will throw at them.
