It was reported early on that Kerr County did not have an emergency alert system by Judge Rob Kelly an elected official in Kerr county. The National weather service declared a flash flood alert that would have been broadcast to all cell phones with coverage in the affected region around 1am. Kerr County officials did not do anything. They do have an alert system that requires residents register with it that is capable of calling all its' registrants amd playing an automated message but Kerr county officials did nothing. The governing body in Kerr county had turned a comprehensive warning system that would have included sirens for flash floods citing budgetary concerns. Local officials are just doing some CYA by deflecting the blame to the National Weather Service and leftist rags are amplifying that message because casting shade on Trump is their favorite thing to do.
