In exchange Trump will bring back some sort of EV credit or similar thing specifically for Tesla. Possibly even renegotiating the SpaceX and NASA deals to cover the lost revenue. Well, let's see. Trump is an eighty year old inhuman toad, a heartless convicted felon, a dictator, a man who laughs at brutalizing immigrants, and an adjudicated rapist.
