its nice that he is prideful in his work but in the modern age that time needs to be noterised he must be paid for it inssurance must be observed and a reccord must be kept
that kind of attitude while admirable could get him fired or his company fined excessively
now if you want people with flexible contracts that state this is acceptable thats another story that he needs to figure out with his employer
but the bottom line is if anything went wrong the entire company would be closed and his employer would face CRIMINAL liability that means going to jail
