As someone who has to fucking work with contractors in India and sometimes here. No they fucking don't. They are terrible developers and fucking lazy beyond belief. They don't even do the bare minimum expected of a developer.

You see when a developer runs into an issue its expected he will try to diagnose an issue and try to solve it on their own before they ask for help. An Indian will do nothing when they hit a roadblock, they won't look into it, they won't ask for help, they will just wait until they are asked about their status, however long that takes. If you don't micromanage them on a daily basis they will sit like that forever. No one else is like this and they ALL are fucking like this. On top of this the quality of their work is pretty bad. They could have decades of experience and it still seems like entry level developer work at best.

I have worked with a bunch of different races and Whites both western and eastern European are the top, then Orientals are basically just as good, after that its South Americans, Middle Easterners, and then the tiny amount of Blacks I have worked with. Finally at the bottom by a wide margin are jeets.

No one I know who works with them thinks they are good or worth anything close to the money but companies don't care because jeets are good at ass kissing up. They talk a good game while never delivering. A small dev team of 5-10 Whites would easily outperform 100 jeets.

In software if you are working "twice as hard" it's usually because somebody fucked up and now you have to carry their weight, or it's because you are the fuck up and you struggle to reach the same output as a non-incompetent engineer in the same amount of time.

Software has measurable outcomes, the output is easy to evaluate as functional or non-functional. There's always multiple ways to achieve anything in software, many solutions to any given problem, but not all solutions are equal in value. Some solutions take longer to implement, perform worse, and create problems in the future. This is why the real art of software engineering isn't "finding a solution" it's finding the MOST APT solution to the problem. A software solution that is "perfect" in one scenario is not going to be perfect in all scenarios. A good engineer has to be able to understand the problem full, the solution fully.

But in India as long as it runs, or appears to run, then it's marked as done. QA basically doesn't exist in India because it "holds back" results. This is why India is very popular among the MBA class who control budgets in the USA. People like Elon Musk love Indians because they deliver "results" quickly. Nevermind that said results usually require competent engineers long hours to fix, and those engineers manhours are more expensive than what he paid the Indians. So he could've just paid the competent on-shore engineers to do the work in the first place instead of paying twice for it. But what do I know, I'm not a business major, I only majored in computer science.
