He knows that there is a mainly rural, mostly religious mode of people who are having babies and will continue having babies. In that sense, “civilization” as it really is won’t die off. The civilization that will die off is his urban-suburban liberal immigrant-friendly capitalist materialist hustler civilization that he depends on for his companies and wealth. A few centuries ago, Elon Musk would be a despised and ostracized merchant at best or a mostly forgotten and unknown small hold farmer at worst. Neither does he have the sort of industrialist or colonialist prowess in him that made certain men of similar disposition great like Cecil Rhodes.
