It's obvious that it has been in decline -for everyone except the richest- since many decades ago, not only in America but in every single capitalist country. It's such decline reversible or it's going to get worse? has capitalism failed? what happened? how do we reverse this course?

> Capitalist decline
The cause is democracy. An authoritarian government wouldn't have allowed any of this

No, that isn't remotely obvious. The standard of living is higher than ever. Life expectancy is higher than ever. This is all thanks to efficiency that comes from capitalism like no other economic system.

> The standard of living is higher than ever.
Tell that to the cost of housing, the capacity to provide for a family on a single male income, or the cose of the average basket of basic goods (food, necessary clothing, etc)
> Life expectancy is higher than ever
Sure, but mental health has never been worse than now. US loses a Vietnam war death toll every year due to veteran suicides alone. We have never been less healthy that now
> This is all thanks to efficiency that comes from capitalism like no other economic system.
All our gains came from the market, sure - but all our losses came from democracy corrupting it
I am not against markets, but stop pretending that everything is awesome today and there has not been a democracy-induced decline

I think you're living in a bubble. Do you really believe that the generations after boomers got it better in terms of living standards? are you a boomer? people are bitching about the economy everywhere for nothing?

as capitalism declines and socialism takes hold people are getting poorer and opportunities are decreasing. i don't know why leftards think this is a vindication of their socialist garbage.

Capitalism makes no comment on currency creation. All of the economic problems of the world link back to currency creation and the current privately operated central bank that is legally obligated to benefit the for profit commercial banks that own it.

The problems occur when those at the top become detached from those at the bottom to such a degree that they can't possibly understand the life of each other. It creates a scenario when the decision makers and the people living with the consequences of decisions are a completely separate people, almost like a (may god forgive me for uttering third worldisms) caste system.

How can something have peaked that never even begin. We don't have capitalism, we have Judaism. The dominating factor in the economy is the Jewish debt based monetary systems we are forced to use, capitalism is just window dressing.

what you are calling socialism is just welfare capitalism
socialism is collective ownership. capitalism requires welfare because capitalism requires unemployment and lower classes so that it has leverage bargaining with labor. so in capitalism a certain number of people need to be poor, homeless, desperate. In a more advanced capitalist society those people are given good welfare to keep them happy and nobody revolts. In such a society things do improve for everyone as the motivation to climb up is not survival but increased luxury.
However, as we see, the standard of living is actually on a decline now from where it was a decade ago. The writing has been on the wall for longer but we had built up such a buffer it was consuming it. We see this first with the growing housing costs and increased rent. This really cut in to peoples spending and started forcing things like increased shared dwelling and people moving back with their parents/never leaving home. This was temporarily stable because of the built up wealth buffer, but it was being consumed.

The current real unemployment rate (all non employed working age adults, also counting people who have 'given up') is nearly 25%, and people are not hiring. Pair this with the big beautiful bills work requirements for snap and medicaid which moved in under obamacare expansions to help shore up the increased unemployment, and a big crisis is on the horizon.

In order to prevent it they would need to do a lot in the next year or so to create tens of millions of entry jobs so people are guaranteed employment if they want it. But i dont see anyone having a plan for this other than 'tax cuts will just fix it'
