When their presence requires justification, and they start preying on the working class, they need to be culled. Local cops don't need military gear, If crime is out of control, there's a reason that isn't 'we need more cops.' Crime doesn't exist because guns do; it exists mostly because poverty and corruption exist. Erase those and crime will plummet. Cops have a hard job; betraying your neighbors to enforce the rules of an elite class must be difficult.

They willingly chose to do that job, afaik you aren't born a policeman. Cops would throw you under the bus if their superior told them to without blinking because "muh pension", in the US they literally have an IQ ceiling for hiring and they're trained to see the general public as "the enemy".
