I read a study done by the state of Florida that, statistically, 1 out of 7 or so people actually speeds up and deliberately swerve when they see a turtle on the road so they can hit it.

I've done this for animals before, but never on a busy highway like this. It's just too dangerous for this exact reason. If it was a smaller street with fewer lanes then I'd save the turtle for sure. But if it was on the highway like this, I'd just swerve around it and hope for the best
