As an LA native myself, its pretty crazy to see how empty the downtowny areas are right now. It was always a grimy place, but it flew off the rails in the late 2000s and got worse from there. That stretch of Alvarado specifically encapsulates LA's condition, cause across the street from all this mexico city shit, is macarthur park where bums eat ducks and shit and fornicate in broad daylight.
