Why does american corporatism/capitalism needs hands outs, subsides, money printed out of thin air in order to not totally collapse on itself? I thought the free market could survive and thrive on its own merit w/o any intervention by any external organism, such as the Federal Reserve or the state. Too big to fail or too big to let them fail? Are we hostages? Hhhmmmm

In a truly free market there are both businesses that succeed and those that fail and they're equally important because that's what actually actually defines a market.
No person who knew what he was talking about ever claimed that the failure of a business represented a flaw with the concept of a free market.

I think you should read before asking questions like these because it's obvious. Government bails out big corporations and banks instead of letting them fail, this means that they're cut off from market signals and the big corps keep doing retarded shit and getting bailed out, the economy is not good in real terms, the artificially propped up stock market looks like it's doing great because they're stealing everyone elses money through corporate welfare, in return for subsidies big corps lobby governments and politicians creating a revolving door of corporate socialism, there are books written on this.

In a free market you cut all subsidies and the crappy corps fail while non-retarded ones survive.

Obviously printing money doesn't create growth. Don't repeat these lies because I guarantee someone will believe them if you do, which is probably part of why politicians are either too stupid or corrupt to stop repeating their mistakes.

The government can't sell favors that they can't give.

Alas, libchuds keep voting more taxes, (aka more inflation) they believe in the trickle down theory, but for taxes... they think if government taxes more, some of those taxes will trickle down to them. Spoiler: it never does

I didn't say that you strawmanning mindless monkey.

America had a largely free market from 1776-1913, in 1913 the income tax was introduced and the federal reserve was established (not a coincidence that this is the same time that Europe and Russia became more socialist), since then the economy has been more and more socialist, corporatist power has increased more and more, two world wars and a perpetual war on terror later and here we are with megacorps getting bailed out by megagovs, unbelievable taxes and inflation.

>Why
because you don't understand what "capitalism" means, you don't understand what a "corporation" is, but at the same time you refuse to learn and admit your mistakes, so you are completely confused by the world around you and nothing, absolutely NOTHING makes sense to you whatsoever

Does that help?

Because socialism had just begun to gain influence as an ideology, 1917 was the communist revolution, the 20th century was an experiment in socialist ideas which caused mass atrocities never seen before. Read a history book i'm bored of explaining basic things to you.

Checked. It actually can cause 'growth' but we're (you're) at about $1 of debt to create 25c growth, of which 24.99c will go directly to the 1% while continuing to inflate the fuck out of everything
