Why did Elon pussy out of auditing fort Knox, clearly nothing inside

how little gold is in fort knox is a cascading secret from the top down to the rank and file who literally guard the building. the president knows there's less gold than should be in the fort, but the commanders of the fort knows its much less than that, and the jarheads who literally load the gold going out and never coming in know theres almost none.
