How much of an impact would this have on your life, political beliefs and personal philosophy?
Could be intelligent or unintelligent life. I’m sure the distinction makes the difference for some

It was unclear for a few years if they found microbes on Mars and nobody gave a fuck. (turned out to be nothing)
Most people didn't even hear about it outside orlf space nerds

I recognize there are forces within our universe that can't be explained with a materialistic and natural process.

Any extraterestrial life discovered anywhere (though preferably as far away as possible and on as different an enviornment as possible) will have a huge impact on our existence (and mine by default), because like the origin of the universe, the origin of life is one of the major missing pieces in our understanding of existence. We still have no idea how life originated. Finding life elsewhere will help guide us towards that understanding.

I think nothing was created or destroyed, but beyond the mainstream big bang theory, idk how existence came to be. I think ayys exist, but that’s entirely a hunch, a gamble even. With zero cost

you know that was proposed by a catholic priest, right?
Einstein hated it and called it, "creationist propaganda"

Discovered elsewhere wouldnt affect me at all, being discovered here as a covert skinwearing entity or whatever the fotm is would be an unknown depending on their level of infiltration and capabilities

The hint is entropy anon. Mutations are a characteristic of entropy they don’t drive beneficial evolution. If information is never added to the genome in an iteration then abiogenesis is just as improbable given biological systems are clearly known to break down due to atomic withering and corruption iteration of your telomeres on the cellular level.

Like how AI remaking a picture 20 times causes what ever model its using to do so to stain the image tint with yellow or what ever probable most common color is found on that model. The same applies to mankind’s cells overtime as they replicate. Age is an illusion because of entropy and the past is only known because we store it in memory. The future doesn’t exist, there is only the present. Obligatory pear science man.
