it's been like this since the early 2000s. music videos can show the difference. women show their bodies off because that's all they truly care about - what they wear, what they don't wear. it's all a giant fashion show. the consumer base has also largely transitioned to fully-on women centric trends and this sort of stuff helps sell dogmatic consumer-based ideas to young women.
